Integrated Regional Watershed Management Program
The Santa Ana River Watershed is part of the North Orange County Watershed Management Area (WMA). A local North Orange County Watershed Management Area Integrated Regional Watershed Management Plan (IRWMP) was developed and finalized in 2011. This North Orange County WMA IRWMP was an effort to work cooperatively for planning water management strategies in the region.
Huntington State Beach Water Quality: Beginning in 1999, our primary issue in this watershed has been high bacterial levels at the beach. The reports listed below detail three phases of investigations and management actions in response to bacteria contamination at Huntington State Beach.
