OC Watersheds Storm Data Resources
OCWatershed’s Environmental Resources Section maintains water quality, hydrologic, and telemetry weather databases for Orange County’s various flood control channels, rivers, streams, creeks, coastal surfzone, harbors, bays, and estuaries as part of the many environmental compliance programs and special studies overseen by the County.
Rainfall and Weather Data:
The hydrologic and weather data resources section provides Orange County rainfall information for the latest storm event, near real time and current daily rainfall accumulations from the Orange County Automated Local Evaluation in Real Time (ALERT) telemetry system, annual hydrologic report summaries, an ALERT system overview and weather links to resources for regional, state, and national weather information including: local weather radar images, short range weather forecasts, beach conditions, and river information.
Water Quality Data:
The Water Quality monitoring data resources section provides information on the collection and management of Orange County’s Environmental Resources Water Quality Monitoring data for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) annual reporting, Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) quarterly reporting and data requests for investigations and studies for the regional boards, co-permittees, and universities.
